What is Avenues?
Avenues is the first step in our Discipleship Pathway and the best place to get to know Victory City Church. We'll walk through what we believe, our core doctrine, and the vision God has given our church.
You'll also learn about our Discipleship Pathway, including next steps like Alpha, Rooted and Baptism, and how to get connected through City Groups and serving on a team. Whether you're brand new or have been around a while, Avenues is where your journey at Victory City begins.

Discipleship Pathway
5 Rhythms
At Victory City, we believe that discipleship is at the heart of following Jesus. The New Testament often refers to believers as “disciples.” To be a disciple means to intentionally place our trust in Jesus and learn from Him how to live. Our church is committed to helping you grow in your discipleship journey through our ‘Discipleship Pathway’ — a reliable process to help you grow in Christ and live for His glory.
This process involves five core rhythms that we practice both individually and corporately. Alongside these rhythms are key steps like Alpha, Rooted, and Other Courses to help you grow in your faith, which we encourage everyone to take if applicable.

Decide to follow Jesus as your Lord & Savior. Commit your whole life to Him and enter into discipleship with Him.

Make Sunday a priority. Gather with the church each week to worship, hear God's Word, and encounter His presence together.

Use your gifts to build the church. Join a ministry team and serve others the way Jesus served us.

Honor God with what you have. Give generously and faithfully as an act of worship and trust in Him.

Don't do life alone. Join a City Group where you can be known, grow in faith, and walk alongside others.

Alpha is an 8-week course designed to help you explore the basics of the Christian faith in a low-pressure, discussion-based environment. Each week there's time to connect with others, watch a short film on an aspect of the Christian faith, and discuss your questions with others.

Rooted is an 8-week small group experience designed to connect you to God, the church, and your purpose. Together, in a group of 8–10 people from all walks of life, you'll explore the Bible, engage in prayer and serve experiences, share stories, and practice rhythms essential to a healthy spiritual life. These spiritual rhythms aren't new or something the church recently created — every one of them is found in Acts 2, where the early church began. If you want to grow in your faith and learn more about these rhythms, Rooted is for you.

Life Together
City Groups
We encourage anyone part of our local church family to find transformation, discipleship, and growth in City Groups. City Groups meet weekly on various days, and each group is led by trusted individuals or couples integral to Victory City.
We believe that everyone was created to belong to a community. It was never God's intention that we would do life alone. These are spaces where you can grow, learn, and discover together in the context of community.
City Groups are built around 3 rhythms:

Ministry Teams
Serving
At Victory City, we believe that serving is one of the clearest ways we reflect Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve. Every Sunday is made possible by people using their gifts to love God and love others.
Whether you're brewing coffee, greeting at the door, or leading worship, there's a place for you. Find a team below that fits you and take your next step in building the church with us.

Be the first face people see! Welcome guests at the door, help them find their way, and make sure no one walks in feeling unknown. A warm smile goes further than you think.

Tell the story behind the scenes. Capture photos, run social content, and help document what God is doing at Victory City. Creative and detail-oriented? This one's for you.

The backbone of every great service. Run sound, manage lighting, and make sure every element of the service lands the way it should. If you love tech and want to serve with excellence, jump in.

The first impression starts in the lot! Help direct traffic, assist with parking, and hand out welcome cards to first-time guests. You set the tone before anyone even walks through the door.

The engine room of everything we do. Pray over the space, intercede during the service, and be available to pray with anyone who needs it. Ministry begins and ends here.

Protect what matters most. Keep watch over our building, parking lot, and kids' areas so everyone can worship with peace of mind. Calm, alert, and ready to step in — you help make Victory City a safe place to encounter God.

Keep the service flowing with excellence. Help seat guests, manage offering, clear spaces between services, and make sure every moment runs smoothly. Your attentiveness makes a real difference.
