Outreach & Justice
These programs are all about showing real-world care to the people of Reno, Nevada. Anyone can jump in on their own or join up with a City Group to serve side-by-side.
Outreach focuses on meeting practical needs—helping neighbors with food, clothing, rides, support, and other everyday challenges. Justice leans into long-term change, walking with people who face barriers and working to make life fairer, safer, and more stable for our community.
Together, these programs give people a place to serve, reach, and make a difference right where it's needed most. We encourage everyone within Victory City Church to be involved in regular opportunities in outreach & justice.

Our Outreach Board
Beyond our time and talents, we find deep joy in financially supporting those doing Kingdom work around the world. We partner with local and international missionaries and organizations committed to justice and the proclamation of the Gospel.
To steward these investments well, our Justice & Outreach Board — made up of staff and volunteers — helps guide our giving with wisdom, strategy, and spiritual discernment.

Volunteer to help clothe the needy in Reno through GSC or donate clothing to help the vulnerable. Donations are available at Church on Sundays or through Good Shepherd via their website.

Volunteer with Washoe County senior services to help the elderly and vulnerable.

Kids Kottage is an emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. The facility can house more than 80 children at a time, ranging in age from newborn to teens. At Kids Kottage, children are given medical, mental health, and educational evaluations and support to ensure their needs are met.

Serving more than 5,000 children and youth in Northern Nevada who are homeless or living in motels, shelters and trailers. These children are trapped in a cycle and culture of poverty that is extremely difficult to escape.
We are on a mission to see that each and every child has a hope and a future.

Join the bluebag outreach to help serve the homeless community of Reno.

Donate funds or household items for newly arrived families, becoming a refugee youth mentor and volunteer with the resettlement program.

WACCS offers a wide variety of client-advised services. These include educational and life skills classes; a diaper bank which distributes between 9,000 – 11,000 diapers monthly; basic needs provision including food, hygiene, and cleaning supplies; an open computer lab; goal setting and job search help; domestic violence assistance; information and referral services; and so much more. Services are tailored to individual clients’ needs, and open to women living at 185% of poverty or less. All services are free.
